Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly Inducts Six New Government Appointees

The Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly (KoKMA) has officially inducted six newly appointed government members, marking a significant step in enhancing local governance and deepening citizen engagement within the municipality.

According to an official letter signed by the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon. Linda Obenewa Akweley Ocloo (MP), the appointments were made in accordance with Section 5(1)(d) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936).

The newly appointed government members are Linda Mensah, Beatrice Quartey, Khadijatu Braima, Nii Nortey Adunuah Ishmael, Nathaniel Ransford Nii Kpain Addy, and Andrews Henry Hubert Malm.

This development represents a major milestone in KoKMA's ongoing efforts to strengthen participatory governance. The newly inducted members are expected to play a pivotal role in the Assembly’s decision-making processes—contributing to the formulation and implementation of policies and programmes that directly impact the lives of residents.

The appointments also reflect the government’s unwavering commitment to decentralization and inclusive governance. By empowering Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs), the government aims to foster sustainable development and equitable growth across all regions.

KoKMA looks forward to working closely with the new members as it continues to advance its mandate of promoting transparent, accountable, and community-driven development.
