Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly Hosts National College of Defense Studies for Good Governance Practices Exploration

Participants from the National College of Defense Studies (NCDS) recently visited the Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly (KoKMA) to learn from its exemplary governance practices, sustainable development initiatives, and decentralization efforts. The visit focused on three key areas:

1. Good Governance Practices

The NCDS participants sought to understand KoKMA's best practices in governance, building on its reputation as one of the top-performing Municipal Assemblies in Ghana. Key aspects of interest included strategies for effective leadership, citizen engagement, and transparency in decision-making processes.

2.Sustainable Development and Decentralization

The delegation explored ways to promote local redevelopment and effective decentralization, examining KoKMA's approaches to community development and resource allocation. This included analyzing initiatives that foster community participation, local economic growth, and social welfare.

3. Digital Payment Systems

A significant focus of the visit was KoKMA's cashless revenue mobilization strategy, aimed at enhancing efficiency and transparency in financial transactions.

The NCDS participants were interested in understanding the implementation and impact of digital payment systems on revenue collection and management with Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly catchment zone
