The Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly has signed a sister city cooperation with Novocheboksarsk city, Chuvash Republic (Russian Federation).
The agreement which was signed in Moscow, Russia, is to emphasize the significance of inter-municipal cooperation as an important and integral element of constructive dialogue, mutual understanding and friendship among the peoples of the two cities.
It is also to create conditions for open dialogue, partnership and expansion of mutually beneficial contacts, exchange of experience and implementation of joint projects in the interests of the residents of the Korle Klottey Municipality and the Kotovsk city.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Korle Klottey Municipal Assembly, Hon. Nii Adjei Tawiah said this will promote tourism and also strengthen the development of cultural ties, exchange of creative ideas, delegations of cultural and artistic figures, organization of theatrical performances, festivals and concerts and also the implementation of joint creative projects.
The MCE mentioned that the cooperation will bring joint projects in the educational sphere, carrying out scientific and practical, experts and other academic events.
